NORTHERN IRELAND & ULSTER
Lou McLaughlin(Atlas RC)
I have competed in the Anglo Celtic Plate Championships on two previous occasions (2023, 2024) with a PB of 08:57 and I’m very much looking forward to participating again this year.
Karla Borland(Springwell RC)
This will be my 4th ACP for Northern Ireland. It’s always a huge privilege to be selected for the team. The 100k race is always a tough one with highs and lows throughout so I’m hoping for a good leg day!
Laura Grimes(St. Peter’s AC)
I have raced distances from marathon through to 100 miles. This is my third year representing the ACP 100K NI & Ulster team. This race is the highlight of my running year and the one which matters most to me as an athlete. This season, I’m focused on building on previous performances while being part of an incredibly strong and supportive team.
Karen Wilton(Jog Lisburn)
I feel privileged and honoured to get selected to the NI team. Can't believe this will be my 6th time, haven't learnt yet. Gradually got better times, so team not waiting so long. Last year at Mallory park, had my best run, maybe sunshine and it having a good total elevation worked. Looking forward to Limerick and probably stay on course longer. Good luck to the team.
Susan McCartney(BARF)
It is a huge honour to be selected to run for Northern Ireland at the ACP for the fourth time. Returning to this fantastic event after a few years away means the world to me. I'm excited to get out there, perform at my best, and do Northern Ireland proud.
Nick Weston(East Antrim Harriers)
It has been my ambition to run at the ACP for many years it having had an almost mystical status in my ‘bucket list’ of races. I am excited to test my 100 mile ultra background with current 2:33 marathon form, and incredibly proud to be able to join the team of talented athletes representing Northern Ireland this year.
Jarlath McKenna(Bristol & West AC)
I’m proud to pull on a Northern Ireland vest for the third time, having won the men’s title on my 100km debut at the 2023 Anglo-Celtic Plate in 6:37:19. After finishing 9th at the 2024 IAU 100km World Championships in India, now 44, I'm hoping to be in the mix again in this prestigious event.
Fabian Devlin(Omagh Harriers/North Endurance)
This will be my 4th year at the ACP after first being given the chance as a reserve runner in 2023, with every year helping me learn more about the very unique challenge of road 100k’s. My teammates have helped me incredibly with training advice and encouragement and I’m looking forward to lining up alongside them again in Limerick as we aim to get the best from ourselves.
Dave Andrews(Atlas RC/Metro Aberdeen RC)
I’ll be representing Northern Ireland and Ulster at my 6th Anglo Celtic Plate so hopefully can bring valuable experience to a very strong team and with disciplined preparation continue some consistent performances over 100km.
Tim Brownlie(Willowfield Harriers)
This will be my 5th time representing NI & Ulster at the ACP and as always it is a huge honour and great privilege. My PB, set in 2024 is 7:14:52, my intention is to better this time in this year’s event. 100km racing at this level is a huge challenge, a true test of speed endurance and mental fortitude. I look forward to testing myself against the very best of the home countries ultra marathoners in Limerick this Spring.
SCOTLAND
Alice Everett (Scottish Athletics)
I have been running for most of my adult life, but have only started ultra running in the last 4 years. Trail running has been a great way to get out in nature, and only recently have I started being competitive at the 50k and 50 miles distances. The ACP will be the longest race I have done, and I am really excited to race in this format and represent my country. Outside of running I am a vet, and live near Edinburgh with my husband and two dogs.
Nicola MacDonald(Metro Aberdeen RC)
I’ve been running for around 20 years but I started really focussing on running and became more competitive after having my son 8 years ago. My biggest achievements are my marathon PB in Berlin of 2:48:08 along with my ultra wins. I PB’d in the 10km just before starting this 100km block and in half marathon during so I’m aiming to train towards faster times in 5k-marathon later in the year. I really enjoy, and my body seems to respond well, to high mileage training which I’ve built up to and maintained for over 5 years now. It’s a challenge fitting the hours in with family life but even if that means en suite breakfasts at 4.30am I’ll always get it done!
Chloe Sangster(Metro Aberdeen RC)
I started running 6 years ago after the birth of my first child, initially just to get back into fitness. What began as a personal challenge quickly grew into a passion for endurance and ultra-distance running. I am now a mum of two and my biggest achievement will always be my children aged six and almost two. When I was fairly new to the ultra scene, I took on the West Highland Way race and finished 6th female. Since then I have continued to develop and build experience, finishing 2nd female at the Highland Fling race and 7th female overall and 2nd Scottish at the ACP 100km Championships 2025. After the ACP100km Championship this year, my next challenge is the Self-Transcendence 24 Hour Race in September, where I am excited to see how far I can push myself over 24 hours.
Jacqueline Wilson(Scottish Athletics)
I am 45 years of age and a mum of two boys aged 9 and 11 years. Coached by Robbie Simpson. I previously competed at the ACP 100k in 2025 where I was rewarded with gold in the Scottish championship that year. I enjoy a variety of distances, paces and terrain which are on offer over ultra distances. Later this year I plan to embark on my third West Highland Way 95 mile race, having podiumed on two previous occasions and placed first female in the Devil o’ the Highlands 42 mile race on two occasions.
Danielle Callaghan(Falkirk Victoria Harriers)
I’m a mum of 3 and a full-time nurse. I was very proud to represent Scotland last year in the ACP 100k. Very proud to be part of the team with Jac and Jo. I had a wonderful experience, meeting wonderful people and we managed the silver. One of the best experiences of my life. Been very lucky to have the opportunity to be part of the team again this year.
Chris Richardson(Metro Aberdeen RC)
I have represented Scotland four times and Great Britain once in the 100k. I won the Anglo Celtic Plate when it was last held in Ireland in 2021 and set a pb of 6:40 three years later in Perth.
Kyle Wilson(Greenock Glenpark Harriers)
I’m a 39-year-old Civil Engineer from Port Glasgow, where I live with my fiancée, Caroline. I’m also a proud dad to my 15-year-old daughter, Poppy. I’ve been predominantly involved in boxing for 20 years, training and competing as an amateur boxer and now a coach at Port Glasgow Victoria Boxing Club, but after joining Greenock Glenpark Harriers after COVID, I’ve found a new passion in ultra-running. The last few years have been filled with long miles and good results. I’ve managed to take the win at the Glenmore 24 (84 miles in 14hrs event got stopped), Tweed Valley 65k, Dunoon Ultra, D33, and Glen Ogle. I’ve also podiumed at the Moray Way 50 and Devil o’ the Highlands twice, with a real highlight being my 2nd place at the 2025 West Highland Way Footrace in 17:07, improving on my first attempt the previous year in 2024 with a time of 17:23 and 6th Place. Another good result was 7th place overall in the Highland Fling Race in the 2024 Ultra Marathon Championships. My next big focus is pulling on the Scotland vest on March 21st. Representing my country has always been a big ambition of mine, as well as a huge honour and privilege. My future goals is hopefully to keep competing at that international level in the future. Beyond that, I’m looking forward to tackling the 215-mile Race Across Scotland in the future and taking on more of the world’s most iconic ultra-marathon challenges and seeing where my running journey takes me.
Adam Grey(Penicuik Harriers)
I run with Penicuik Harriers and returning to the Anglo Celtic Plate after representing Scotland for the first time at last year's event. Dave Shaw(Scottish Athletics)
I am coached by Casey Morgan and represented Scotland at the ACP in 2025 at Mallory Park, gaining selection by running the 100k in 7:22 in Scotland in 2024. I placed 2nd at Sri Chinmoy’s track race in 2025 covering 138 miles. I have competed over a number of ultras, placing 2nd to Northern Ireland’s Jarlath McKenna at Glasgow to Edinburgh Double Marathon in 2023 and placed 1st at Scotland’s great Glen way, Glen More 24 hour race and Glen Lyon Ultra.
WALES
Ieuan Griffiths(Clwb Run Wales)
I ran my first Marathon and Ultra race in 2022. In 2023 I ran my local Ultra, the St Illtyds 50K, and was able to win in a Course Record time of 4:16:36. Later that year I finished the Gower Ultra Bach. I began 2024 by running the Barry 40 Track Race, coming away with the Welsh Ultra title and second overall, leading to my selection for that year's Anglo-Celtic Plate three weeks later. This was my first race for Wales, but unfortunately I was unable to finish. I ran St Illtyds again, then finished 2024 by running the Goodwood Motor Circuit 50K. In 2025 I fully went onto a coaching plan with Gary Howells of Peak Performance Wales, focusing first on the Great Welsh Marathon. I was able to win this event in a Personal Best of 2:35:02. I was also able to win St Illtyds for the third time. I'm looking forward to returning to the Anglo-Celtic Plate and hoping that the lessons I learned in Perth can help me finish what would be my longest race. I've been fortunate to receive support from the HYVE Gym through my training this year, which has helped contribute towards the costs that training for a 100K brings.
Henry Drake (Amman Valley)
Made his debut for Wales in the 2024 ACP 100k event at Perth finishing 25th overall in a time of 7:52:51 and followed that up with 7:46:40 at the Mallory Park event. Started running seriously in 2015 at the Marathon and ultra distances preferring ultra trail races including the 2023 Comrades Marathon - 87km. This was the "down run", securing a silver medal (awarded for under 7.5 hours) and a sub-7-hour finish. (6hrs 54m). In 2024 Henry completed the Comrades Marathon “up run” in 7:01:28. His marathon record is still - just - improving. He has completed 66 races of a marathon or longer and has a Marathon PB of 2 hrs 42m.His preferred distance is Ultra trail racing, and he’s now completed 8 races of 200 miles or longer, with two second place finishes and the longest being last year's Arizona Monster 300. He’ll be returning to the fantastic Wild Horse 200 race this spring to hopefully improve my best finish time of 63 hours. This will be the third time he’s had the honour of representing Wales at the Anglo-Celtic Plate, running 7hr 52m in Perth in 2024 and 7hr 46m in Leicestershire in 2025.
